Harrisburg Must Act By September 28
Don’t Let a Court Ruling Crush Our Veterans’ and Firefighters’ Clubs, Neighborhood Taverns, and Lottery Retailers
About the Campaign
Our local VFWs, American Legions, firefighter clubs, and neighborhood taverns serve as vital gathering spaces where our communities come together. Unfortunately, a recent court ruling threatens their future by effectively outlawing the skill games that help keep their doors open. These games will become officially illegal on October 14, meaning Harrisburg lawmakers must reach a decision before time runs out. Without immediate legislation, these organizations and small businesses will lose the critical revenue they need to survive. Some of them may even have to close their doors permanently if Harrisburg does not pass legislation by the 28th of September.
Attention business owners and private clubs with Skill Games: Urge your State Representative and State Senator not to pass legislation taxing Skill Games at 52%, which leaves you with only 15% of the revenue—virtually eliminating a profitable revenue stream for your establishment.
Call your PA State Senator and House Representative today and ask them to pass legislation that keeps skill games where they belong and helps our veterans' clubs and taverns.
